Shear Engineering Corporation has been involved in a large number of residential projects over our 26 year history, including new single family custom homes, multi-family townhomes and condominiums, pre-manufactured and modular homes, barns, and residence additions. Shear Engineering Corporation is licensed in the State of Colorado, the State of Kansas, the State of Nebraska and the State of Wyoming.
Shear Engineering has experience with structural construction inspections including open hole, footing and wall steel, framing, perimeter drain, and dampproofing. Shear Engineering Corporation has experience with structural consultation inspections including certificates of observable compliance, FHA / HUD foundation certifications, and analysis on homes experiencing structural problems. Shear Engineering Corporation was also involved with several structural evaluations resulting from the Windsor tornado of 2008.
Shear Engineering has utilized a wide range of materials, products, and methods for residential construction. The typical materials of wood (including logs and engineered wood products), concrete, steel, and masonry have all been used by our firm. We also have experience with newer products such as insulated concrete forms (ICF's) and structural insulated panels (SIP's).
